USA Roaming
In the USA, DCI Wireless offers cellular GSM service via T-Mobile prepaid SIM cards with no $6.95 system access fee, no hidden monthly fees, no network fees, no maintenance fees or system fees of any kind.
You simply insert the card into your unlocked phone and your USA based cellular telephone number becomes active. You now pay local rates for all your national USA calls, incoming or outgoing, instead of expensive roaming fees. Rates are as low as 15 cents per minute.
Calls to your Canadian cell phone number can be forwarded to your USA number at low DCI rates so that your callers can reach you without incurring any long distance charges. Before leaving the country you simply call forward all incoming calls from your cell to DCI's system and your local cell phone will redirect all incoming calls to DCI where in turn the calls will be forwarded to your roaming SIM at 90% discount over your regular roaming fees.
The T-Mobile SIM card comes preloaded with 1,060 minutes of talk time, valid at least 6 months and it costs only $160. Compare that to over $1,000 in roaming charges if you use your Canadian cell phone in the USA.
Refills are available directly from DCI or any T-Mobile authorized dealer. DCI sells the refills in $30 (130 minutes), $60 (400 minutes) and $125 (1000 minutes) CAD denominations. If your account is in good standing, cards can be refilled over the phone by calling DCI customer service and the refill charge is billed to your DCI account. In the USA, the cards can be recharged at any T-mobile authorized dealer or thousands of gas stations and 7-11 convenience stores.
Please note that we currently have a limited supply of these SIM cards and offer them on a first come first served basis. Place your order early to avoid disappointment. Prepaid SIMs require a carrier unlocked cellular phone like those sold by DCI Wireless. If you don't have an unlocked phone, you must rent or purchase one to use our prepaid SIM cards.
